It is an Internet Based Test (IBT). The test has four sections covering the language skills of Reading, Speaking, Writing and Listening. The test is approximately 3 hour 30 minutes long, with one 10 minutes break after the listening section. The content of this test reflects the language that is used in real academic settings. A good score is 80 and above, with a minimum of 20 in each section individually. The scores of TOEFL are valid for 2 years.

The purpose of the test is to check the ability of a person who wants to pursue education in an English speaking country or wants to get permanently settled there. The scores of TOEFL are valid for 2 years.

  • Integrated Task 6: Lecture 
    • Listen to a lecture (about one and a half to two minutes in length) on an academic topic, and then respond to a question by summarizing what you have heard.
